Microsoft is apparently trying to speed up the release of Windows 10 for Insiders in the Fast Ring. A new version of Windows 10, build 14271, is available to those enrolled in the company's tester program.
According to Microsoft, the new version contains a lot of bug fixes. But let's see what's new in this build.
The new Windows 10 build 14271 is an attempt to synchronize builds between Windows 10 for PCs and the Fast Ring of the Mobile version. Thus, Windows 10 for PCs has been updated to build 14271, while the Fast Ring build for Mobile has reached number 14267.1004.
The new Windows 10 build 14271 is part of the upcoming Redstone update, the next major update to Windows 10. It is intended to replace/upgrade the existing “stable” version of 10 build 10586 (Th2).
In this build, the following issues have been fixed according to Microsoft:
Fixed an issue where windows would change their display color to black after each upgrade to a new version.
New music control icons that appear in the taskbar preview in music apps like Groove to look sharper and clearer at higher resolution.
Fixed an issue where the taskbar would sometimes not automatically hide, but would suddenly appear on top of a full-screen PowerPoint presentation when in slideshow mode.
Fixed an issue where the “Hide notifications during presentation” setting was lost after upgrading to a new version.
Close functionality on the entire header of an application in the Action Center and not just on the application name or the “x”.
Easier way to dismiss all notifications from a specific app in Action Center.
Fast user switching now works better even with a picture password.
Fixed an issue where some desktop applications (Win32) were not appearing in the Start menu.
These and many more from the new Build.
