A few days ago we reported that Microsoft has so far deployed Windows 10 to 75 million computers around the world.
The numbers are really large, but also expected as the new operating system is distributed free of charge to users of Widows 7. 8 and 8.1.
But what about businesses that can't upgrade for free? It should be mentioned that the Enterprise edition is the version that Microsoft is betting on, as each license will have to be paid for, generating huge profits for the Redmond company.
According to Microsoft watcher Rod Trent, Windows 10 Enterprise edition is installed on 1.5 million business computers, and if that number doesn't seem like a lot, multiply it by the cost of the operating system.
It should also be mentioned that Windows 8.1 was not that successful in business. Many companies decided to skip Windows 8.1 altogether and wait for a new version.
So now that Windows 10 is released, Redmond will start focusing more on promoting the Enterprise version.
This means we expect great deals for companies that have several computers to upgrade.
