Google's new platform, YouTube Gaming, is set to launch globally today. The new site for video games will give fans of the genre the opportunity to watch videos and live presentations from big, small and popular games, directly from the content producers. 
YouTube Gaming will showcase all of the gaming content from the site's massive community of video creators. The new platform is expected to encourage more gamers to create more videos, as Google promises to make it easier than ever to livestream their games.
It should be mentioned that Gaming is one of the most popular video categories on the World Wide Web.
It comes second after the music category, and one of the top YouTube channels is PewDiePie.
YouTube, of course, earns huge amounts of money from advertising on all the videos that are shown, but in this particular category, it seems to have fallen behind, especially when on the other hand there is the competition that comes in the name of Twitch.
The YouTube Gaming initiative comes from Google to find ways to catch up and overcome the gap with Twitch, which if you don't know, is owned by Amazon.
