Microsoft's new operating system, Windows Mobile 10, for mobile devices will require at least 5GB of storage space for installation, according to a statement from the company.
This means that devices with less disk space will not be able to apply the operating system upgrade.
Yesterday, it emerged that the Windows Mobile 10 operating system can only run on devices that have at least 8 GB of storage. This means that devices like the Lumia 530 do not have enough space to download and install the new operating system.
Microsoft has revealed that Windows 10 Mobile requires about 5 GB of available disk space, and it seems the company will have to figure out some super compression method to make the operating system smaller.
According to a Microsoft page, devices with 8 GB of storage will be left with 3 GB of available space after installing Windows Mobile 10, while those with 16 GB will only be able to use 10 GB after the upgrade.
Microsoft added that Windows Mobile 10 should be able to run on devices that have at least 512 MB of RAM, and admitted that some features will be missing due to hardware limitations
