Windows as a Service is here! Just two days ago Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 10240 to Windows Insiders.
While many believed it was a Release to manufacturing (RTM) build, Gabe Aul pointed out that it is the beginning of Windows as a Service, which means the continuous updating of Windows 10.
So the first opportunity to participate in Windows as a Service has arrived for Windows Insiders who have installed Windows 10 Build 10240.
With a tweet, Gabe Aul announced the first update on the new practice implemented by Microsoft: Windows as a Service is here:

Gabe confirmed that a cumulative security update will come in Build 10240.

As we had mentioned here at iGuRu.gr, immediately after the release of "RTM", the preview builds will stop and that the new changes will not require installation of the entire operating system, but only the updates that the company will provide.
Since the publication of the “RTM” announcement
Curiously, today's announcement doesn't mention the RTM sign-off - although that's perhaps to be expected, as the new operating system also comes with Windows-as-a-Service. However, it could also be an RTM Escrow, that is, a stage before RTM.
Anyway, starting today, Microsoft will focus on the finishing touches and possible fixes. However, for any changes, you won't need to reinstall the entire operating system (those who install the RTM) as the company will upgrade the RTMs with updates.
So starting today we officially welcome Windows as a Service.
