Microsoft Edge: It is known that Microsoft is developing Windows 10 almost from scratch, to avoid users refusing to install the new operating system. It is also known that the company is developing a new browser that will completely replace Internet Explorer in the future.
The new Microsoft Edge browser will be released as a universal app on all versions of Windows 10, and for all devices: smartphones, tablets, and computers.
The browser is already available in preview builds of Windows 10 codenamed Project Spartan.
Microsoft has released an in-depth video walkthrough of the new app for the first time via YouTube.
It seems that Microsoft Edge has several new features, with the Cortana feature, Redmond's personal assistant, stealing the show.
The Cortana feature has been integrated into the Edge browser, so you can easily search the web with voice commands.
In addition to integrating the Cortana personal assistant, the new browser will support addons that will extend the functionality of the application.
According to the company, Google Chrome extensions will be supported, with some tweaks to their source code. This feature will be added to the browser at a later date, as it requires more development work and won't be available this summer when Windows 10 launches.
Microsoft Edge will be offered alongside Internet Explorer but will be the default browser on Windows 10.
