Without any fanfare, Google has begun rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop, which owners of Nexus models will soon be able to download to their devices.
According to ZDNet, there has been no official announcement from Google, other than a mention on the official Android One page, which talks about the new version of the software and all the fixes that the latest version of the software brings. Due to the fact that there is no official announcement, it is unclear what features the new version of Android will have.
According to what has already been leaked, the latest version of Android will improve all the problems that had appeared, such as some issues with notifications and wireless connections. Also, some features that were missing from version 5.0, such as Silent Mode, have been added. The battery performance of models with Android 5.1 Lollipop has also been improved, while fixes have also been made to the problems that had arisen with the OK Google function.
It's worth noting that Android 5.1 Lollipop has also brought some changes to Material Design, especially in terms of the color palette available. Nexus 5, 6, and 9 owners will see the updated version on their devices.
