Not long ago, locals and tourists in Varna, a city on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, came face to face with a strange creature: a green cat.
The cat roams the streets of this Bulgarian town unmolested. She behaves just like any other feline of her kind and is quite friendly. Locals say they have seen her playing with other cats in the area many times. Apparently, the other felines in the neighborhood are not bothered by their friend's strange fur color.
No, it's not some cat-shaped alien looking to destroy humanity. Contrary to what one might assume from its bright green color, this stray cat in Varna is not some alien's pet or some extraterrestrial being. The truth is that this is just a regular tabby cat. The reason its fur is this green or emerald if you will color is that recently the cat has been sleeping on top of a pile of synthetic green paint that is located in a garage. In other words, the cat is responsible for its color. This also explains why, until a long time ago, the cat's fur did not have the shade of bright green, but instead, only displayed a slight emerald color tone.

Interestingly, when they first saw it, they assumed that the cat had fallen victim to some vandals who thought it was fun to paint the cat. They were so sure that they had even created a Facebook seeking to bring the creature's tormentors to justice.
Animal rights activists say that if any pet owners are tempted to dye their pets green or some other strange color after this news, they will most likely face legal action. Moreover, the chances are that during the dyeing process the animal will die. Besides, it is important to know that pets, cats, dogs, etc. have their own rights and are protected by law.
