Intel's Async JS and CSS Haswell-EX processor to launch with 18 cores

Without being officially announced, we have the first information about Intel with 18 cores!

In February 2015, the Intel Xeon E7 v3 “Haswell-EX”, built with Tri-Gate technology at 22nm,

Also, the Xeon E7 v3 “Haswell-EX” will consist of 5.56 billion transistors, a record number, which promises top performance.

However, it is not the number of transistors, but the number of cores that steals the show, as the Xeon E7 v3 “Haswell-EX” will have 18 cores and through Hyper Threading technology will be able to manage 36 threads.

Finally, Haswell-EX has 45MB Last level cache (LLC), while it also features a DDR4 controller, PCIe Gen3, and support for motherboards with up to 8 sockets.
