The Patch Tuesday for May 2014 will arrive on the 13th of the month, according to a Microsoft posted today.
As usual, the company, for security reasons, does not provide any clarification on the bugs that the updates will fix, but it did say that six of them have been classified as “important” and two others have been rated as “critical.”
The updates concern Windows, Internet Explorer, SharePoint Server and Office Web Apps, but more information will be revealed next Tuesday, after the updates are released.
As a reminder, starting May 13th, Microsoft will stop providing updates to Windows 8.1, as those who haven't installed the 8.1 Update will not be able to update their systems. So to get the new patch, you will first need to install all previous updates as Microsoft has made them mandatory.
