P0sixspwn (a tool for jailbreaking iOS 6) will not be released for the newest firmware released by Apple, as reported by iH8sn0w on Twitter.
So the newest version of iOS, 6.1.6, released on Friday to address a serious vulnerability will not be able to be jailbroken.
While evad3rs immediately released an updated evasi0n that supports jailbreaking for iOS 7.0.6, iH8sn0w will not. As he says on Twitter: “Don’t expect an update for untethered jailbreak on 6.1.6 with p0sixspwn.”
If you're on iOS 6 and want to keep your jailbreak, it's best to stay away from iOS 6.1.6 and for your own safety, use Ryan Petrich that fixes the SSL vulnerability in iOS. On the other hand, if you want to be safe and don't care about jailbreaking, it's best to update your operating system.
