Case file of a summary proceeding was formed by the Economic Police Service and the Cybercrime Unit against a 44-year-old foreigner for child pornography via the internet
The arrested person was in possession of numerous files of hard-core child pornography
From the Economic Police Service and Cybercrime Investigation, a file was opened in summary proceedings against a 44-year-old foreigner for child pornography via the internet.
Specifically, the Cybercrime Division was informed by the German authorities that after online investigations carried out using special software, an internet user was identified who, through an IP address in our country, possessed and had available for distribution on the internet at least one (1) file (video) of hard child pornographic material.
For the above, the Prosecutor's offices were informed and after the issuance of a related decree for the lifting of communication privacy, via the internet, the data were identified and the actions of the 44-year-old detainee were verified.
In an investigation carried out at his residence in Voula, in the presence of a judicial officer, a computer hard drive and one (1) portable laptop were found, which after on-site examination contained a large number of files of child pornography material.
The seized evidence will be sent to the Criminal Investigations Directorate for laboratory tests.
The detainees, with the case file that has been filed against them, will be transferred to the Athens Primary Prosecutor's Office.
