As the news of NSA spying continues to roll in, many of you may have wondered: What can I do? Surely none of you would want to waste your time feeding the US Secret Service surveillance channels false information, but it could actually be very easy to do without any time or effort.
Flagger is an extension for the Chrome and Firefox by Jeff Lyon that promises to make civil disobedience fashionable and as simple as surfing your favorite websites. Once installed, you can write a mocking message that will be attached to every URL you visit, along with selected keywords that will make the NSA “searchable.” The words could be “jihad,” “bomb,” “taliban,” “anthrax,” or the more specific “C4.” Just use your imagination.
The expansion is accompanied by a sardonic Twitter that will immediately put you in the mood, according to the Daily Dot.
Because Flagger doesn't need to work on all websites, there's a handy on-off switch, so all you have to do when you feel the need to taunt the intelligence agencies is flip it on. The extension is a fairly new product, so we can't know if armed men with wild tempers are knocking on your door.
