As we reported in a previous article last week, the official Skype blog and social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter had been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army group.
Even though Microsoft immediately removed the hackers' messages left on the hacked pages, the Skype blog has remained offline to this day.
It is now online for all users and in a short message on the blog in question, Microsoft reiterates that no user information was at risk during the attack.
"On January 1, 2014, we experienced a targeted cyberattack that resulted in access to Skype's social media accounts, Facebook, Twitter, and this blog. Please immediately restore the credentials used to administer these sites. No user information was compromised, and the Skype service was not impacted," said Microsoft .
