The virtual music player Winamp is scheduled to die on December 20, 2013, but there is at least one equally good alternative out there. Plus, it's available on all platforms, including Linux and Mac, it's free, and it's open source.
Winamp will forever be one of the most recognized software ever made and if its services should be lost, at least on the Windows platform, there is a software out there that can easily become the alternative for fans of the old applications.
We are talking about Clementine. iGuRu, always supporting free and open source programs, recommends it to you.
Its interface is very different from Winamp, but both have one important thing in common. Both music players were developed by people using old designs and mindsets.
In other words, Clementine is a music player focused on the music in its playlist, not online services. It is built around the listener, not the buyer.
You can download it from here, selecting the platform you are interested in.
