Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said in a recent interview that if he were still at the company, he would partner with one of its biggest competitors, Google.
Wozniak told the BBC that Apple would be stronger if it had a good working relationship with Google. Apple would be able to improve Siri services (thanks to Google's search engine) and even develop better wearable technologies, such as smartwatches or augmented reality glasses.
"I wish to God that Apple and Google will work together in the future," he added.
When asked how likely it would be for the two competitors to collaborate, Wozniak said: "I don't know. If I were there, it would be very likely."
But the Apple co-founder later backtracked, saying: “I’m probably wrong – there are probably things I don’t know about business, and one thing we should always remember is that a company should always make money.”
Apple 's software isn't as powerful as Android , especially when it comes to Siri, Wozniak claimed, as reported by Mashable .
"Sometimes I tell it 'Go to Joe's Diner' and Siri doesn't know where Joe's Diner is. Meanwhile I've discovered that Android knows where it is. This is really the future of intelligence for computers, getting smarter."
Wozniak also said that developing partnerships with rivals, including Samsung, will provide more opportunities and innovation.
“There are good things I see on Samsung that I would like on my iPhone,” he said.
With cross-licensing and technology sharing, he believes that all products will improve. He’s not wrong, but which company would agree….
