The National Documentation Centre, National Contact Point for the HORIZON 2020 Framework Programme, invites you to an information day on “Information and Communication Technologies in Horizon 2020”. The event is organized with the support of the European Commission and the Secretariat-General for Research and Technology.
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 19, in Athens, at the National Research Foundation (Vas. Konstantinou 48).
The representatives of the European Commission Kostas Glinos and Thomas Skordas will present the program “Information and Communication Technologies” to the different pillars of the program “ORIZONAS 2020” of the EU for research and innovation.
The National Representatives of the programs “Research Infrastructures” and “Information and Communication Technologies”, Spyros Anastasidis and Konstantinos Stefandis (speakers pending confirmation), will present Greece’s positions for the specific programmes.
The Greek experience in the 7th Framework Programme will be presented by Giannis Ioannidis (University of Athens, ATHENA Research Center) and Herakles Avramopoulos (National Technical University of Athens). Finally, statistical data on the Greek participation in the ICT programme of the 7th FP will be presented by Maria Koutrokoi from the General Secretariat for Research and Technology.
The National Documentation Centre will present data on Greek research in the ICT sector, as derived from relevant publications and the organisation's bibliometric studies, as well as from its activities as the National Contact Point & coordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas.
Admission to the event is free, but registration.
