Chinese website Donews has published two photos showing a gold iPad Mini with a Touch ID fingerprint sensor .
The photos come after news of Apple 's rumored event on October 15, where the company is expected to unveil updated versions of the iPad and iPad Mini , alongside possible appearances of the new Mac Pro and Apple TV
The release of a gold iPad Mini seems to make sense as the gold iPhone 5S sold out before they were even released.
