SOL: The $350 Ubuntu solar laptop

Η WeWi Telecommunications, Inc developed the SOL, a laptop that does not rely on electricity for its power supply. The SOL is a Ubuntu Linux-powered computer, equipped with a removable solar panel, which the creators say will provide up to 10 hours of battery life after just two hours in the sun.

WeWi claims that the SOL will never actually have to be plugged into an electrical outlet to charge, and that it will still work even if someone wants to keep working late into the night. Its solar panel can be detached and connected with an extension cord, so you can charge the computer even if you're indoors.

In addition to the financial benefit to the homeowner, SOL solar panels help the environment by reducing air pollution. According to the developers, each computer SOL could prevent about one tonne of CO2 emissions released into the atmosphere during its lifetime, simply by not charging exclusively from the plug.

SOL runs with one processor Intel Atom D2500 1.86 GHz Duo Core processor with the chipset of Intel 945GSE.
His album is 320GB and comes with a cache in the 2-4 GB DDRIII SDRAM, depending on what the buyer chooses.

The laptop features a 3MP front-facing camera, two speakers and an internal microphone for online chats and video, as well as inputs for USB 2.0, headphones, and HDMI, among others. For your Internet connection, it has Wi-Fi 3G/4G/LTE, as well as links to GPS and Bluetooth.
