Canonical today unveiled a new teaser for an upcoming product, on the Ubuntu page and almost immediately after its new product.
Last Friday, Canonical dared to post a teaser on its website again, but quickly removed it, right after photos of its new phone were leaked.
The events didn't stop there, as over the weekend hackers hit the Ubuntu Forums, stealing usernames and passwords.
So today, the day of the supposed release of the new Ubuntu Edge (the possible name of their new product), until a few hours ago, nothing seemed to be happening.
But Canonical just introduced Ubuntu Edge
Canonical's ambitious plan is to create an alternative superphone called Ubuntu Edge , which will be able to run both as a mobile device and as a PC .
To make this happen, Canonical is trying to raise funds with a crowdfunding campaign that is perhaps the largest we have encountered to date… The amount it is asking for is 32 million !
