NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which is in the Saturn system, has taken photos of Saturn and its moons.
But today and tomorrow it is preparing for a very special photoshoot, not of the planet it orbits or any of its moons, but of our planet, Earth.
According to NASA, the main target will still be Saturn and its entire ring system. But from the angle of the images, you'll be able to spot a small white dot, our planet, 1,445 million kilometers (898,000,000 miles) away from the spacecraft.
At this distance, our planet will be a single pixel in the image. The Cassini team wants to mark this occasion in a special way, by going outside and waving to Cassini.
Photos must be taken between 21:27 GMT and 21:42 GMT on July 19 and 20.
Those in the western hemisphere that will be illuminated by the sun during the photo shoot are asked to say the word “cicada”, meaning to smile in the photos. Of course, these details will not be visible in the photos!!!!.
