The 9th edition of the International Festival of Digital Arts and New Media of Greece, Athens Video Art Festival, is a fact. On June 7, 8 and 9, the Historic Center of Athens will host exhibitions, screenings, workshops and live acts, enhancing the dialogue between public and private space.
Taking advantage of the diversity, multi-culturalism and dynamics of the city, the Athens Video Art Festival 2013 attempts to visually and creatively activate a route through one of the most controversial and charged areas of the city: from Theatre Square and Kotzia Square, to Agia Irini Square and Monastiraki, outdoor screenings, visual interventions and collaborations will give the mark of a vibrant and constantly evolving community of creators.
The Athens Video Art Festival expands the collaboration that began nine years ago with Academic Institutions, International Festivals and internationally recognized artists with the aim of creating an international platform for meeting and highlighting current trends in digital creation,
True to its annual programming, the Athens Video Art Festival invited all contemporary creators to be inspired by the urban environment and the inexhaustible possibilities of new media by attending and participating for another year with a willingness to experiment and break free from all kinds of stereotypes.
