Todd McLellan is an artist whose forte is disassembling things and placing their pieces in such a way that they not only form something beautiful, but also show how complex it is to make each object.
One of Todd McLellan’s projects was to take a classic Macintosh computer, disassemble it, and evenly distribute its internals against a white background. It’s part of his “Things Come Apart” series in which fifty classic objects were disassembled and then their materials were arranged first by size and then by complexity, creating a beautiful image.
Additionally, McLellan is preparing to release a book at the end of the month titled “Things Come Apart: A Teardown Manual for Modern Living.” The book’s cover is the image above, and those interested can pre-order it from Amazon.
