This is quite interesting to read. But it didn't surprise us. According to a report from Tab Times, American Airlines has replaced 8,600 bags full of instructions, charts, and maps with iPads. That's a lot of iPads. But what does this have to do with the injuries mentioned in the article's title?
According to Patrick O'Keeffe, Vice President of Operations Technology at American Airlines, each of the bags that were replaced weighed 18 pounds. The addition of iPads reduced injuries during transport. So we are rightly talking about preventing injuries to pilots since they do not need to be transported.
