Apple, at its event in San Francisco, announced the Apple Watch Series 2 and the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. So, as the event concluded with a musical finale, we in turn present you with a list of the biggest takeaways:
1. Super Mario is coming to iPhone
Yes, you heard that right, Apple 's event kicked off with Nintendo's famed director Shigeru Miyamoto as its first guest. The Mario creator announced the first mobile title for our favorite plumber: Super Mario Run .
The game, which will allow players to relive favorite Mario scenes in classic levels using one-touch controls, will be released on iOS devices by Christmas.
2. A waterproof Apple Watch
Apple, in San Francisco, unveiled its new device, called Apple Watch Series 2, and promises to be water resistant up to 50 meters.
The Apple Watch Series 2 will include built-in GPS and will be released on September 16th with a starting price of $369.
3. Two cameras for one iPhone
The larger iPhone 7 Plus has two 12-megapixel cameras: one has a wide-angle lens and the other has a telephoto lens.
The iPhone 7 Plus can zoom up to 2x with optical zoom between the two lenses and up to 10x with digital zoom.
Users will be able to take photos, just like with DSLR cameras.
4. Protection against water and dust
For the first time, the new iPhones are IP67 waterproof and dustproof!
5. Welcome AirPods
As discussed extensively, the controversial removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack from the new iPhone has become a reality.
This means that Apple will launch a different kind of earphones with the new phone: EarPods with a Lightning connector.
