Last week, Microsoft sold what was left of the business while the stock price of Windows Phones fell below one percent.

Now, the company has clearly understood what the final step is to correct Steve Ballmer's decision to buy the former number one in mobile phones.

A major foreign news blog reports that according to an internal tip from Microsoft's Terry Myerson, the company will eliminate 1,850 jobs, of which 1,350 are in Finland.

The company has also recorded a $950 million loss and restructuring charge on its balance sheet, $200 million of which will be compensation to those employees.

The job cuts are, in essence, the company's divestment of almost all of its obligations to what's left of Nokia.
