Do you miss some video games you played many years ago? Archive.org is an incredible resource that has saved pieces of media that have been lost to time!
Essentially it is a library of the old Internet! The website has made large collections of artworks, movies, and music available to anyone who has access to a computer and the Internet.
Last year over 2,400 old-school video games were added to the collection and they are all played through your web browser! Below you will see some of the most beloved games from an era before the Internet! Click on each title to play each game.
“The Oregon Trail”
One of the first video games that was widely played, The Oregon Trail introduced many children of the 20th century to desert travel and the word dysentery!
“Prince of Persia”
No relation to the Prince of Persia that is released now, the original game represents platform games in all their glory!
“Sim City”
One of the first games that essentially let you play God, in Sim City you had the reins of a city. You built it, you destroyed it, the choice was yours!
“Super Street Fighter II”
The fourth edition of the Street Fighter II series (yes there were several editions to create a series), Super Street Fighter II was full of additional content such as, for example, more fighters than the original.

“Ms. Pac-Man”
More technologically advanced than the original game, Ms Pac-man has ghost paths that require very good reflexes!
“Tetris”
Tetris was the best there was for the original Game Boy but the players had spent many years breaking bricks even from their homes!
“Maniac Mansion”
One of Lucasfilm's classic adventure games, Ron Gilbert's masterpiece may be far from today's standards but it's truly worth playing!

“Donkey Kong”
Surely one of the most popular video games! It was also the first game that featured Mario and a classic Arcade game, so no one should be surprised that it was eventually ported to DOS in 1983.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Missions”
Our beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had made a jump from comic book to animation and from there to video games. The “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Missions” was their first video game but it had the bad reputation that the jump was impossible in this version!
“Bubble Bobble”
Shoot enemies, collect fruits and pop bubbles in this classic puzzle game.
“Gauntlet”
Grab an axe, a sword or some other weapon and defeat your enemies in Gauntlet, one of the first RPG games that were released.
“Mega Man”
Just like Donkey Kong, many associate Mega Man with Nintendo's early systems, but almost all were originally released for Windows or, in this case, for DOS.
“Ultima VI: The False Prophet”
If you're a fan of RPGs, this game will give you hours of fun, provided you keep your browser open to complete it!
