Snowboarding was so old-fashioned, meet the new droneboarding
While snowboarding has certainly been an exciting activity, both from a recreational and sporting perspective, droneboarding is definitely the new level of activity that is set to take the world by storm. And how exactly does this sport work? It involves the use of two very important tools, a drone capable of pulling a lot of weight for a long period of time and of course a snowboard.
Seeing as droneboarding is an advanced variation of snowboarding, the location where the sport will be practiced must definitely be in an area where there is a large amount of snow.
On YouTube, a father was able to successfully capture footage of his son strapped to a fully-fledged drone, with the child holding on tightly to the special rope attached to the aerial machine and his feet placed on the wakeboard. The only downside to snowboarding right now is that since commercial drones haven't yet become widespread, you can see in the video that it's not quite as extreme as we'd hope, pulling the child along at an extremely slow speed.
However, we are confident that in the near future, where flying machines will become much more powerful and less expensive due to supply and demand, said equipment will be used with greater frequency than ever before, and we are sure that it will pave the way for a new kind of sport that will overshadow the thrill of wakeboarding.
For now, we have to admit that we are a little disappointed with what we saw, but surely things will get better in the future, right?
