Sunday is usually a good day to relax at home - with or without company - and enjoy a movie.

So today, we will present you with a list of the 10 best Hacker Movies... the ones that in our opinion every IT and security enthusiast should have seen...

at least once! 🙂

10. Demon Seed (1977)

An organic super-computer — fed all of humanity's knowledge by the Chinese for the purpose of research into fighting cancer. Unfortunately, the super-computer goes so far as to hack its creator's own computer-automated home, and develops a morbid interest in the scientist's wife. What happens next is completely beyond simple hacking, but this film brings to the fore the anxiety and fear we might feel about a future where computers can think and act on their own.

9. Existence (1999)

In eXistenZ, Cronenberg abandons the body as the central axis of his thematics. The result is that the body, which in other works is presented as the foundation of human existence and the measure through which the truth of things is ascertained, here is unable to define reality. As in other virtual reality works, so in this particular film the senses, the human body, are unable to distinguish between virtual reality, the game, and the truth. Ted, on his first trip to the game, touches his body and says that he feels normal, just like in reality. When he returns to the supposed reality, his senses give him the impression that he is in a false world. Like Neo in The Matrix, Ted touches the furniture, caresses the surfaces, but cannot be sure through touch whether he has returned to reality or not. Later, Ted tries to convince Allegra that they are still in the game. But he himself cannot be completely sure. Reality and the game are now impossible to distinguish.

Working with the authorities and John Markoff, Shimomura tries to trace the traces of the most notorious wanted man in the US, when two years later they break into his apartment.
