Great news for all those who have a Facebook profile! Until now, you could only read what the home page of the most popular Social Network offered you, as well as all the latest posts from friends, pages and groups. From now on, you can search for old posts from friends and pages using keywords!
Facebook's smart search, the so-called Graph Search, has been significantly improved! Now, in addition to specific searches like "Friends who like..." or "Photos of my friends..." etc., which we naturally like, you can search for specific posts with keywords, finding either posts you were looking for or posts you didn't even know existed.
Those of you who use a computer or an iOS device to log in to Facebook and have set your language to "English (US)" will receive the message in the image above one of these days. This feature has been in testing for over a year, but it is finally available to everyone.
Once you have the new search feature, you can type keywords in English (and Greeklish) or Greek, select the keyword search with the magnifying glass, and Facebook will show you posts that have the keywords you selected in description , in the description or title of a link, in the title of a Facebook video, in a check-in, etc.
The results show posts from friends, friends of friends (if they've tagged a friend of yours, for example), pages and groups. You can see in blue the keywords you searched for and where they appear in each post. As always, privacy is important, which is why Facebook only shows users posts they can see, i.e. posts to whose audiences they've been added.
Finally, both the new Graph Search features and the old ones are coming to iOS devices, with Android users being the next to receive the changes.
