If the device is authentic, new information is revealed
Photos of an alleged fully functional iPhone 6 have surfaced on Chinese social media site Weibo. While a number of components of the device have been leaked so far, this is the first time we've seen a device actually booting up and running iOS 8.
The 4.7 device appears to be authentic, although no one can confirm this for sure. On its screen we find a new Passbook icon, which is also expected since there have been strong rumors about a new payment system from Apple.
If these are indeed authentic images, this leak is very important, as it shows a working iPhone 6.
The Weibo user also shows us screenshots of the settings to show how it's running a new build of iOS 8 that hasn't been released to developers yet. The Touch ID feature also makes an appearance in a short video of the user.
However, the big question mark about authenticity intensifies as the source of the leak, a young man, shows his face on camera.
