Security experts always recommend that Android only download apps from the official Google Play store. If they download apps from third parties, they may end up with malware on their device.
ESET researchers have identified a new Android malware that has been disguised as legitimate Android applications.
The sample analyzed by ESET is detected as Android/Spy.Krysanec and was found in a mobile banking app for Russian users, as well as in data usage monitoring apps. In one, it appears as Set Mobile security.
These modified apps were found to contain the Android version of the Unrecom RAT.
