Find out if Microsoft's Lumia can withstand a hard hit
Microsoft tried to make the Lumia 950 a monster, but only as far as performance is concerned, as the company wanted the phone to always run smoothly, without any lag or slowdown.
And Redmond has more or less managed to do it, but when it comes to the other side of the “monster” which concerns the durability of the phone, little has been said since its launch.
But thanks to a video posted on YouTube by Battery Super Saver, we can finally find out whether the 950 model can withstand a hard hit with a hammer or not (we could have found the answer to this question much earlier, but seeing our own phone put to this test can be very painful).
The drop test
While we won't give you any more information, as the video is truly worth watching, there is something that needs to be mentioned.
The old Lumia devices that bore the Nokia were actually very durable and could withstand some pretty serious knocks, and the plethora of tests that people around the world conducted were living proof of that. We've seen Lumia phones thrown out of buses, put in ovens, or simply dropped on the floor, but in most of these cases, the devices actually survived, and in style.
The Lumia 950 is essentially the successor to those phones, but it's still hard to predict whether it will be as powerful or not. And it's almost impossible to give a verdict from this review alone, so this drop/hammer/car test can really help us understand how tough the new model really is.
