Windows 10: Passwords are a thing of the past!

Microsoft has put a lot of effort into Windows  10 and the company keeps reminding us of it at every opportunity, such as in Satya Nadella's presentation showing that it is the most secure operating system to date.

Windows 10

Speaking about Microsoft's improvements to Windows 10, Nadella claims that it is the most secure operating system ever. He explains that significant improvements have been made in this regard for both individuals and businesses. More specifically, "In Windows 10 we have combined high-tech security - in fact, the virtual infrastructure combined with modern security features is what makes it the most secure operating system - "explains Nadella.

The changes Microsoft has made to the security level are aimed specifically at customers using Windows 10 Enterprise, Home, and Pro, however, users will benefit from the new "Windows Hello" tool that now makes passwords seem like a thing of the past.

Windows Hello requires new devices, such as special cameras that allow for quick facial recognition, which Microsoft claims will eliminate passwords altogether. Nadella said in an interview that their goal is to create a world without passwords, one of the reasons being that hackers won't have access.

On the other hand, it is more difficult to log in to the device instead of the user, since the identification is customized for each individual. There are options for face, fingerprint or iris, if your computer has a fingerprint reader or camera that supports the feature. Even if you have a twin brother / sister, it is impossible for them to access your data. (Demos have shown that Windows Hello has foreseen this case as well)

Apparently, Windows 10 is indeed the most secure operating system to date, and given that most attacks usually target Windows, this will probably be their answer!
