Firefox is finally available on Apple's App Store!

Firefox is officially an iOS app! It was released on Thursday in the App Store and is the latest major browser available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users.

Safari, Apple 's default browser , and Google's Chrome have been used by users for a long time. Opera is also available for Apple's mobile devices but is not as popular as the two above.

Firefox market is a priority for browser designers as users increasingly choose to browse the Internet via their mobile devices rather than their desktops and laptops.

The popular browser will try to attract users with a number of features. It keeps track of all your open pages using visual thumbnails so you can jump to any recent page. You can open as many tabs as you want without losing any open pages. Each tab that you open is numbered so you can add and find content for each one.

You can choose your search engine from a variety of options. From Google, Yahoo, Bing to Amazon, Twitter, Wikipedia, and DuckDuckGo. If you search for a topic, Firefox will show you a list of suggested results. The program also includes a list of search engines so you can switch between them.

Worried about your security? You can open a new page with the private option and your history and cookies will not be saved. You can also delete your browsing history, passwords, and other personal data with just one tap.

By creating a Firefox account, you can sync your browsing history, tabs, and passwords to your mobile device from other devices you use it on. The program also remembers the passwords you use across devices.

Finally, you can save web pages to a reading list so you can read them when you're offline.

Mozilla initially resisted making a move to iOS , but changed its mind late last year when iOS 8 was released, which has a more user-friendly interface for non-Apple browsers. Of course, Apple's huge audience is also important. A typical tweet from Mozilla's release manager Lukas Blakk:

“We need to be where our users are, so we’re going to iOS.”

Firefox for iOS is free for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users and is optimized for the large screen of the iPad Pro.
