Anonymous: Defended woman harassed by KKK member

Conover Kennard, a famously dumb woman who regularly and openly criticizes the hate speech promoted by the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) in the US and Canada, saw a member of the Anonymous hacktivist group defend her, after she was tormented on Twitter for weeks by a member of the KKK.

Anonymous: Defended woman harassed by KKK member

Kennard, a former model and widow of Pete Farndon, bassist and founding member of the rock band "Pretenders," has publicly criticized the KKK for their unpunished hate speech against blacks and other minorities.

For this reason, various members of the group harassed her on various social networks, sending’ her many messages of the form «Heil Hitler» from fake Twitter accounts, but none more than what someone named Thomas Klan did.

This person caught the attention of one of the Anonymous members, a hacker specializing in DDoS, known as Amped Attacks.

The Anonymous hacker quickly did what he is known for and took down some of the KKK websites, some of which were still down even after several hours.

However, this is not the first time Anonymous and the KKK have clashed. The same happened last year, during the Ferguson riots in Saint Louis, where Anonymous attacked and took down several KKK websites, due to the group's support for US police forces (and subsequent criticism of the black population).

Additionally, Anonymous took over the official Twitter account of the CCP during the same period and later began exposing some of the group's members, revealing their true identities.

In an interview for Addicting Info, Kennard revealed that the hacker was one of her friends and that «he is not a partisan type and usually targets ISIS sites,” but decided to take action because of the abuse he was receiving on Twitter.
