This means that the company now operates independently of Symantec, following the completion of an $8 billion deal to sell it as a standalone operating unit to The Carlyle Group. The sale is expected to close in January 2016.

Veritas will continue to offer its leading solutions and services as an independent company with over 8,000 employees and $2.6 billion in revenue, addressing the biggest challenges in the field of backup, appliances, and information availability in critical business data environments. During the Press Conference, the new independent partner program Veritas Partner Force. The goal is to maximize the profits of partners, but also stability, through more predictable methods of developing new partnerships in the information management market.
