Samsung Galaxy S7 reappears in benchmarks

Samsung-Galaxy-S7-GSMArena

Last week the new Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone appeared in some benchmarks, and the device was listed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

We also heard some details about a new Exynos processor from Samsung, the Exynos 8990, and now the Samsung S7 model has reappeared, this time with the new Exynos 8990 processor.

Samsung used to introduce two versions of its S series processor, one with a Snapdragon processor and one with an Exynos processor, although it stopped doing this with the launch of the S6.

The reason the Galaxy S6 didn't launch with Snapdragon was apparently due to overheating issues with the Snapdragon 810.

With Samsung's new S7 model appearing in benchmarks with two different processors, it seems that Samsung intends to launch its new models with two processor options, which of course could change once the devices are released.

We've already heard that the new S7 model has a 5.7-inch display, with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, while the device is also expected to launch with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

There were also details about the cameras, which included a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, the same as the S6 model, which could change once the S7 is unveiled.

We expect to learn more details about Samsung's new phone early next year, and when we have more details about the device, we'll let you know.
