Google is waging its own battle against the phenomenon of "revenge pornography", announcing the removal of search results that refer to "Revenge Porn" and the restriction of access to nude photos or photos of sexual content published online without the consent of the person depicted.

In the coming weeks, the company will allow users to submit requests to delete relevant results from its search engine, which contain their personal photos and have been posted without their consent.
" Revenge porn photos can be extremely damaging to those depicted, both personally and emotionally, and serve only to degrade the victims – who are predominantly women," Google said in a blog post.
The company will provide a special page for reporting "revenge pornography" content, effectively helping to prevent and combat such phenomena, which in many cases have caused irreparable emotional damage to victims, even leading them to suicide.
However, the photos will not be permanently removed from the internet, but only from Google search results, making them harder to access. Unfortunately, permanently removing illegal content from revenge porn sites and prosecuting those involved in publishing such photos remains difficult, although several countries have already taken steps in this direction by criminalizing such acts.
