Google reveals data about its workforce after admitting its mistake.
Women make up 21% of the company's workforce, according to information released by the company itself.
More specifically, it was reported that the total number of women in its technical staff increased by 1% after deliberate actions were taken to increase them.
Following accusations regarding the large discrepancy in the number of men and women hired by the company, it decided to design and implement a unified recruitment policy framework that concerns both women and minorities.
The company has made announcements regarding the percentage of minorities in its workforce, stating that hiring in these groups has increased but overall it represents only 2-3%.
The popular company employs 53,600 full-time employees as of the end of last December.
