In a particularly welcoming space in Aigaleo, the Greek Gaming Academy (GGA) is housed, the first training school for gamers in Greece.
The "child" of the Clever-net IT school is pioneering in our country by giving young players the opportunity to develop their skills in popular games such as Dota 2, League of Legends and Call of Duty: Ghosts with the support of many professional Greek gamers who are particularly well-known in the field and adopt the role of coach.
The GGA is not an internet cafe but an educational space that helps every gamer achieve their own goals, whether that means getting involved in gaming professionally or simply improving their skills and connecting with the rest of the community. The academic director, Dimitris Monachos, does not rule out the creation of a team in the future that will play professionally and will consist of academy students.
After the creation of similar schools in Japan, South Korea and America, Greece also takes that step to get closer to competitive gaming with the creation of GGA and the gradual acceptance of e‑Sports as a profession.
