The report, “Trends for 2015,” focuses on the five key concerns that businesses need to consider to protect themselves from cyberattacks, explains why businesses should be on the lookout, analyzes how threats have evolved, and advises organizations on how they can protect their data.

“As organizations improve their digital connectivity, new avenues for cybercrime are opening up,” notes Raphael Labaca Castro, Security Researcher at ESET and Editor-in-Chief at WeLiveSecurity.com. “The trick is to ensure that your defenses are more impenetrable than those of your peers. By better understanding the threat landscape, you are much better prepared for the unwanted attacks that lurk.”

The report focuses on the following five points, which organizations should pay attention to:

1. Evolution of APT attacks

2. Point-of-Sale Malware

3. Information leak

4. Vulnerabilities

5. Internet of Things … or Internet of Threats?

“We can all imagine how much resources businesses dedicate to protecting their data from hackers and cybercriminals, so we wanted to help with this report,” Labaca Castro added. “We asked our security experts to analyze the trends, providing a detailed analysis of what they believe is lurking. This report aims to provide additional insights to businesses, helping them review their security policies, technologies and processes and allocate the right resources to the right places.”
