Microsoft

Microsoft Greecesupports the Panhellenic Teacher Innovation Competition, which is organized for the first time by the British Council, within the framework of the organization's educational program, Life Skills. The competition is aimed at teachers, with the theme of developing life skills in their students through the use of new technologies. This action is part of Microsoft "Partners in Learning" program that the company has developed to promote the use of technology in primary and secondary education.

The purpose of the competition is to highlight and honor the work of Greek teachers who, with the help of modern technologies, have invested in the development of innovative teaching methods, aiming to develop students' life skills, which are essential for their success in the 21st century.

Microsoft Hellas supports the competition by offering the global platform www.pil-network.com, through which interested parties can register for participation, following the instructions for submitting their educational activity. The Panhellenic Competition for Pioneering Teachers allows participation to primary and secondary education teachers who have developed educational activities using software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MovieMaker, Producer and other Microsoft tools.

Teachers' presentations will be evaluated based on various criteria, such as the suggested score for the development of Life Skills, the use of technology used, the engagement of students with the aim of developing Life Skills, cross-curricularness, as well as the effectiveness of the method in learning teaching.

From the entries in the Greek competition, the five best actions will be distinguished, whose representatives will be invited by the British Council to present their work on March 21, 2015. The three closest educational activities will stand out, and technology prizes will be awarded, as well as commemorative gifts for their students.

The deadline for submitting applications for the competition is Monday, March 2, 2015.
