Microsoft has released the last Windows updatesof the year for security vulnerabilities in both Windows and Internet Explorer.
A total of seven security patches were released this month, three of which were quite critical. Obviously, all users are advised to install these updates as soon as possible to make sure their data is not at risk when using Microsoft.
Specifically, both Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office have received important security updates, so if you use either of these two products, make sure to install these updates as soon as possible.
In the case of IE, Microsoft reports that a remote code execution vulnerability has been fixed. This means you are completely safe once you install the new patches.
The company warns that these vulnerabilities typically lead to a malicious website that needs to be loaded in Internet Explorer. Once the user visits the specially crafted website, the attacker could obtain the same privileges as the running user and cause significant damage to a personal computer or even worse if the user is an administrator of a network, which is why it urges all users to install the Windows updates as soon as possible.
Well, regarding Microsoft Office, company security experts discovered two vulnerabilities in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office Web Apps, which again will allow the intruder to obtain the same privileges as the user.
In addition to the above Windows update, Internet Explorer users also receive a new version of Flash Player that fixes critical bugs found in the software. Security updates are now applied automatically to browsers, without any action required from the user.
