The Deloitte study in collaboration with the University of Oxford is shocking
Millions of jobs in United Kingdom are threatened by technological progress in the coming years, according to a very important study on the impact of technology on the labor market. Technological progress, automation and robotics will bring significant changes to the British labor market over the next 20 years, at a time when one third (35% actually) of existing jobs are at risk of being replaced, it is emphasized in research of Deloitte, which was conducted in collaboration with the University of Oxford.
The research also notes that "advances in technology will likely see jobs requiring processes and support replaced by jobs requiring IT and administrative skills. This trend has already begun."
According to the UK Office for National Statistics, during the June-August quarter 30.76 million people were employed in the country, which means that one third will be affected by technological progress.
In the qualitative characteristics of the research, it is of particular interest that jobs earning less than 30,000 sterling per year are more likely to be affected by technological progress than jobs earning over 100,000 sterling per year. This condition will affect those working in London even more.
