The suicide prevention organizationSamaritans Radarhas created a free app that flags disturbing tweets and sends a warning to friends.
The app, currently only available to Twitter users , sends an email notification to the tweeter's followers when it detects a suspicious tweet.
The suspicious phrases
The suspicious phrases are for example: «help me», «I'm tired of being alone», «I hate myself» or «I need someone to talk to».
For the development of the application, experts from the academic field collaborated, who contributed to gathering the words that are commonly used when someone is in difficult moments.
In addition to tweet highlights , the UK-based organization will help you communicate with anyone you care about 24/7.
"Samaritans Radar is still in its early stages and there will certainly be mistakes in the beginning. However, we will strive to continuously improve," the company points out.

Every 40 seconds , a person in the world takes their own life, while the number of suicides has exceeded 800,000 annually worldwide, according to a United Nations report released last month.
