Apple's first big step to fix its iCloud has been taken. iCloud.com is now protected by a two-step verification system. This means accessing iCloud.com apps is more secure, but it may prove difficult for some users.
It's not that difficult though, and you can make sure that no one will be able to access your iCloud from now on except you. Once you've enabled it, you'll be able to see it on iCloud.com. So, when you log in there, you'll need to have your phone nearby to get the unlock code.
iCloud.com has apps like Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Numbers, and Keynote. All of them are limited. Interestingly, Find My iPhone and Settings aren't locked down, so you can work with them whether you have a phone or not.
When 2-factor verification is turned on in iCloud, you'll receive an email every time someone signs in to your account. If it's you, just ignore the email.
The iCloud.com page has the ability to make it easier for users who only have one computer they use to sign in. Simply enable the “Remember this browser” toggle and you won’t be asked to provide an additional password.
