A Greek-American former CIA agent in Athens has already been called to testify, who allegedly organized the network of 14 "shadow" phones

Authorities in Glyfada reportedly discovered a "base" of illegal communications and surveillance by the American secret service in Athens a few days ago.

As reported by "Vima", the office was discovered on September 12, after months of investigations by the 3rd investigator, Mr. Dimitris Foukas, who took advantage of a series of information that had also been brought to the attention of the EYP in 2009. Mr. Foukas has undertaken the complete clarification of the scandal of the wiretapping of the phones of politicians, officers and private individuals in the period 2004-2005. A Greek-American former agent of the CIA's team in Athens, who allegedly organized the network of 14 "shadow" phones, has already been called to testify in this case. However, while this specific agent had assured that he would immediately come to our country from the US to "provide explanations", to date he has not appeared.

Mr. Foukas is also investigating the illegal activity of foreign embassy officials and private individuals in Greece. Specifically, as Vima reports, he re-investigated information that had been brought to the attention of the EYP five years ago regarding the presence and movements of foreign agents related to illegal telephone interceptions in the Glyfada area.

That information had been considered reliable since it came from the same “source” that had also reported a planned armed attack by an “urban guerrilla” organization, information that was reportedly verified in large part. This attack involved placing an explosive device at a bank target.

Referring to the Glyfada base, senior judges are talking about a serious development.
