According to a Microsoft leaked to GeekonGadgets, the company plans to phase out the Nokia and Windows Phone.
According to this document, which is also confirmed by The Verge , Microsoft will not use the manufacturer's name ( Nokia ) in its advertising campaign during the holiday season on the smartphones it will want to promote during that period.
It will also gradually drop the Windows Phone from the operating system and gradually start referring to it as Windows. This also reinforces rumors about the upcoming Windows 9 that will be available on all devices (PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones) with the same name.
Regarding the document, Microsoft has not officially commented, but recent advertisements for the Lumia 530, 730, 830 and Cortana refer to the operating system as Windows, while emphasizing Lumia rather than the Nokia name.
