Greeks remain "glued" to their mobile phones during their holidays, while foreign visitors to our country do not stop using their mobile phones either for voice calls or to connect to the Internet.
According to the latest data from Wind's National Network Management Center, in the tourist areas of Greece there is an increase in the use of the company's mobile telephony network that exceeds 200%. The mobile champions are Mykonos and Santorini, which have shown a 230% increase in both voice and data services this summer. The impressive increase is due to roaming traffic but also to Wind subscribers who seem to prefer mainly the Cyclades for their holidays.
The next region that stands out for its performance in mobile telephony and mobile internet, during the summer, is the Ionian Sea. Data from Wind's National Management Center shows an increase in the region of 115%, followed by Central Macedonia with an increase of 85% and the Dodecanese with 80%.
As for the origin of foreign visitors, the English are the most talkative on their mobile phones, leaving Russians in second place for a while, with Germans completing the top three. However, visitors from Romania and Serbia are the surprise, who are respectively fourth and fifth in using Wind's network this summer.
